After David (forte) came to give us an initial quote; we agreed on a price for a bathroom remodel we would pay cash for while waiting for a larger project funding to come through. A 36 sqft bathroom was under construction for 4 months, we had to fix several things that him and his crew did that ended up costing more, as well as finish a majority of the project ourselves. After we paid up front 7500 of a 9500 dollar estimate, he tried to stick us with an additional 27000 dollar bill for literally just demo and tile work with cheap materials from Home Depot. It’s a 36 sq ft bathroom. It’s not that much. Demo was no more than 12 man hours. Tile took a few days but the same tile guy gave my mom a quote for a job 3 times as large for only 5k. So basically he’s a scam artist it seems who does poor work and wants to stick you with a massive bill. Avoid at all costs.
