Greg Wiebers, Northeast Ohio Remodeling & Design, was hired to remodel our kitchen and do some work in the basement. The job began in April 2021 and was to be completed in July 2021. By 8/11/21 Greg had received 8 progress payments promptly representing 93% of the total amount agreed to. Often, no one showed up or there was only an hour or two of work performed over days and weeks. Many elements were sloppy or just plain incorrect. In the kitchen, which was a total tear-out, the main items that needed correction included: a newly built pocket door that scrapes the paint off as it opens and closes, multiple cracks and gaps in the floor, an undersized drawer, an installation screw that comes through the face of the cabinet, gaps between the floor and cabinets, incorrect installation of the dishwasher, live wires left uncovered and miscellaneous paint and trim issues. Greg used many delay tactics over the next months, including demanding the remaining 7% be paid before fixing the issues and eventually resorted to intimidation. In June 2022, he abandoned the job completely. The floor has now been re-done by a reputable flooring store. They documented that the installation method was incorrect which caused the gaps and there were debris left under the floor which caused the cracks. A carpenter came to right-size the drawer, but his professional assessment was that it would compromise the cabinet structure so unless the entire section is re-done, the undersized drawer must remain. The other items have not yet been rectified.

Greg Wiebers was recommended by a realtor as a great contractor. We hired him to redo our kitchen. He started the project in the middle of Sept. After 92 days of not having a kitchen, and Greg and his subcontractor only worked 21 days of the 92, we told Greg he was done. Greg hired Rob Cook to do his subcontracting work. After not coming to do the work, we looked Rob Cook, his subcontractor on BBB and Yelp. Rob had terrible reviews on both websites. Both of them have done a such a poor job! We now must redo many of the work they have done. We have to rewire all the wiring they did for our kitchen. They put 9 junction boxes in our ceiling and some of them didn't have coverers on them. Our house could of burn down from their shoddy wiring. The ceiling had came down in order to rewire everything. They were in a hurry to put the ceiling up to hide their shoddy wiring. They put our cabinets in the wrong places and didn't follow the plans. Thank goodness for the Amish that came in to fix the cabinet mistakes. Rob took out a sliding glass door and put in a window in its place. He covered up the rot where the sliding glass door was and never said anything about it.
