I would strongly advise against hiring Jarod Mason for any home repair or contract work on your home project. In Fall 2022, I contracted Jarod to install new windows on a duplex in Detroit. He proceeded to install mismatched windows as well as windows that had broken glass, were not functional, and without screens. Also, during the project, he routinely brought unsupervised small children to the active construction site, troubling for anyone with insurance and hazard concerns. The work was so poorly done that we agreed to disengage and he agreed in writing to provide reimbursement for unperformed work. As of today, the project is incomplete and he never reimbursed us for the unfinished job. Within a few days, he simply stopped responding to phone calls and text messages. We filed a complaint with Michigan's Bureau of Construction Codes Residential Builders Section, which is still under review. His dishonesty and lack of professionalism reflects poorly on the entire industry.
