From Blah to Beautiful Cabinet Refacing | Feb 2017 | Although this homeowner loved the home that he purchased 7 years ago, the kitchen area was outdated to the 1970s. He had been contemplating upgrading the kitchen and financially chose to do it in steps. The countertops, then the floor and finally the cabinets. The existing cabinets were of decent quality and shape but were outdated. He priced cabinets online only to find out replacement was a bit expensive. To find an alternative option, he contacted Fifty Lakes Cabinet Design and we assessed his situation and offered up cabinet replacement or refacing options. We explained the pros and cons of each he chose reface the cabinets, which was economically a better option for him considering the condition of the existing cabinets. There were three cabinets that needed to be completely replaced (above and to the right of the microwave). As you can see in the photos, you can't even tell which cabinets are new and which ones are refaced. | $8k | Boiling Spring Lakes, NC

Redooring Project – St. James Plantation | Aug 2016 | The finish on this client’s cabinet doors and drawer fronts had started to bubble again. They had already been replaced by the builder a few years ago so she was ready for a permanent fix. She reached out to 50 Lakes Cabinet Design for replacement doors and drawer fronts, called refacing or redooring. We were able to reuse her existing hardware to maintain the same look as she had throughout the rest of the room. Since her cabinets were in great shape (besides the bubbling finish) and she loved the layout of her kitchen we were able to give her a new fresh look to her kitchen at a fraction of the cost of a complete remodel. She also asked us to remove the deco panels from the island and install beadboard panels instead. | Saint James, NC
