Update - I was contacted by Hugo via text after he saw the review and said he wanted to get the lights taken care of for me properly. I responded back saying let's get this done and he AGAIN - no shows and no calls!! - I wanted to post the screenshot of the actual text messages but this site does not allow me to upload a picture. I wrote a 5-Star review for this company two years ago because of what a great experience I had and how pleased I was with the work. I saw other reviews that sounded like the exact opposite of my experience and then questioned their authenticity. I am here today to help people understand the real Hugo and the real Luscious Landscaping. I rehired this company in January of this year to plant new plants, touch up my mulch and stones, install lights, and also to seal my walkway. This project should have taken 2-3 days at most, however even though work was started on JANUARY 20th, the project is still NOT COMPLETE TODAY. I showed him the EXACT lights I wanted for my walkway and he installed something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and then said it was too late to change them. He offered a discount for cash and so I took him up on that when we first started the project but after he took my money, he has not shown up to complete the project and has offered every excuse in the book since. In looking back at the unfavorable reviews, I am experiencing the exact same thing. It seems when Hugo is hard up for money or just plain lazy, he does a terrible job, cuts corners on product and then disappears - he does not return calls or texts and no one answers the phone in the office - EVER! The bottom line - you never really know who you are getting - the quality Hugo or the unethical, unprofessional Hugo, so BEWARE. Do you really want to take the chance of who will really show up for your project?? I have seen both sides, but I can promise you I will NEVER do business with this company again!

We are thrilled with our newly installed patio. Both Hugo and Angi were terrific to work with and our installation crew kept up the high standards. The final product shows quality of workmanship, work was completed in a timely fashion and in a pleasant manner. No issues - glad to recommend these folk to anyone looking to install an interlock patio!

Stay away from this company, even though the owner Hugo might offer you an attractive pricing. Extra few hundred dollars are NOT worth all the hustle, cheap plants, mediocre quality and extremely bad customer service. I hired them to do 2-3 days long work project, the contract the provide structured to get most of the money upfront, which is the bait. After deposit is received the owner starts coming up with ton of excuses why he can't either start, continue or finish the work. The actual job went though numerous delays, cut corners on the quality, which owner tries to hide and present that job he does is way to go and if you try to point out at these issues, he gets aggravated. At the job he is acting like he wants to leave as soon as possible, rushing his workers to do the work quickly and at a lousy quality. Instead of 2-3 days it took 2 months to complete at 95%. Hugo refused to come and finish the job stating that he does not have any free worker to do so. I will report his actions to BBB and some government agencies to check on his workers compensation policies and accounting records. The owner asks you to write the check directly to him rather than his business which violates IRS laws, which will be reported as such.
