This project was started by the homeowner. They had purchased the pavers, cedar lumber and wall block. When they called us they had the 6x6 cedar posts set in concrete and unfortunately the layout was not square nor did the post placement leave room for installing the steps. This was a case where the homeowner watched a couple DIY videos and decided to plunge in. Definitely an A for effort. Our first objective was to remove and save the cedar posts which meant jackhammering out the concrete around each one, without damaging them. Upon successfully removal, we started fresh by laying out the pergola , digging new holes and re-installing the posts. Once the posts were in we installed the patio base material, built the steps, grilling island and pillars. We then installed the paver patio and finished the pergola. We added LED accent lighting to the steps for both safety and beauty and built a custom concrete island countertop. In the end it cost the homeowner more than originally budgeted however they are very pleased with the end result. Intimate Spaces will install landscaping in Spring 2015.

We turned an overgrown and unsafe area into a beautiful and functional space. The existing area contained old railroad ties, unsafe steps and was full of weeds. The goal of this project was to not only retain the hillsides, but to add a safe access point to the back yard patio from the driveway. We installed almost 400 treated 6x6 landscape timbers which includes a winding staircase, accent lighting and beautiful landscaping. The homeowner added some really cool art to the project too! OSU themed paver patio featuring a custom arched bar which includes a 2 keg dispensing system, low voltage accent lighting and glass tile countertops. Also built into this patio behind the bar is a grilling and green egg smoker area. Since the placement of this patio is situated within a pine grove we excavated the base by hand, not using a machine. In doing so we were able to save all of the trees. Additionally this patio includes a custom cedar arbor and fire pit. Materials used: Unilock Brussels Wall Block Unilock Copthorne Pavers. Enhancements and additions were made to the landscape to truly create an inviting and relaxing space. This Powell, OH tiered patio features a 485 sq ft lower patio and a 470 sq ft upper patio. The lower patio was a new build, designed and installed with custom corner steps leading to the sunroom. The upper patio was originally a poured concrete pad that was over 18 yrs old and had sunk. The solution was to have the concrete leveled, which was sub-contracted to A1 Concrete Leveling, and then cover the concrete with pavers to match the lower patio. All of the steps include low voltage accent lighting and installation of vertical spotlighting on specimen serviceberry. The end result is a beautiful patio perfect for relaxing or entertaining. To finish the project we installed basic landscape plantings and mulched the existing landscape beds. Homeowner Review of intimate spaces: "Working with Allan & Pam at intimate spaces was easy.
