HUNTWOOD CUSTOM CABINETS

We actually like the cabinets, but their customer service is an abomination. We bought nearly 40k in cabinets from them for two kitchens and three baths, but when their guy selected cabinets that negated the purpose of two of our spaces, made us pay in full to replace them. The designer, Chad, came to our site and knew that two of the overheads were above a kitchen nook bench. He selected full height cabinets, so adults can’t sit on half the bench. He also knew the small computer desk in kitchen would have...a COMPUTER...but again a full height cabinet was selected. They say “they can’t do anything” because they sold direct to our contractor, who also claims no responsibility. At least the contractor is willing to eat the cost of one of the cabinets. Do NOT spend big money with these people. Their lack of regard for the huge purchase we made relative to the mistake made that could be fixed to do the right thing is a bit mind-boggling. Find another cabinet company; there are lots. If the expert they send know the purpose of a space and selects the wrong cabinets (defying common-sense), the homeowner should NOT be at fault.

UNBELIEVABLY BAD EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY! After originally planning to work with a competitor of Huntwood, we switched to Huntwood for cabinets for a high-end investment property, because time was of the essence for us and Huntwood said they could deliver their cabinets about 1-2 weeks sooner than their competitor could deliver. We ordered the cabinets, paid 100% in advance, and were told the cabinets would be delivered on August 23rd. We also arranged for Huntwood to install the cabinets. On August 23rd we were informed that the factory would not release the cabinets, because we had not yet paid for the installation. We quickly paid, and the cabinets arrived one week later than expected. At the installation, we found that the cabinet we had ordered for a built-in microwave was wrong and had to be re-ordered. Today they informed me that the correct microwave cabinet will be delivered and installed on October 5th, which is fully six weeks later than promised and much later than the competition would have delivered. In addition, spice drawers were installed extremely poorly and do not glide open smoothly, the kitchen island was not installed straight, and some of the trim is not colored like the rest of the cabinets and needs to be touched up by the company. What a disaster this company has been.
