Treated Privacy Fence

Dec 2015

This customer has an old chain-link fence that was falling apart. She wanted to get a little more privacy and piece of mind knowing her dogs cannot escape. So we tore out the old fence and hauled it away. The entire property was almost solid rock, so we jackhammered out rock after rock till we were sure that the post were set plenty deep. After setting the post we built the fence in four days. The fence also included a double drive gate to allow here to access here garage. For the extra wide drive through gate, we set extra post to ensure that the gate will never sag and will always work good as new.

Cedar fence and retaining wall remodel

Jul 2015

The existing fence and retaining wall that enclosed this yard was more or less of a joke. They both were falling down and looked terrible. It did nothing to help the house in any way. Our customer wanted to get rid of the old and have the nicest wood fence money could buy installed, along with remove the retaining wall and put it back with blocks. She also requested that we build a set of stairs for her to be able to utilize the other side of her house with ease. While tearing out the old fence, we realized that we would have to remove the entire retaining wall, made of railroad ties, and not just the part that is falling down. The fence was actually poured into the rest of the wall and therefore it would come down as soon as we removed the old post. After removing the old wall, we then built a new one using Windsor retaining wall blocks which come in a variety of colors to match any landscape or house. After the new wall was up we then put in a 6 ft. picture frame fence with western red cedar post, pickets, and 2x4's that were of the highest quality. We put back the original gate and added another for easier access to the other side. With a set of stairs to finish the whole thing off, the yard is unrecognizable and looks amazing.

Prairie St. Sewer Repair

Apr 2015

The customer had her sewer back up into the basement of her house and hired a plumber to snake the line. After snaking the line, they determined there was a break in the line and confirmed it with a camera. After quoting her a large amount of money to dig it up and fix it, she got ahold of us and we settled on a much more reasonable price. We brought in our backhoe and excavated the area where the break was marked. After finding the break, we installed 10 ft. of new 4 inch pipe along with a clean out. We then ran our snake through the rest of the line to the main and then back filled the hole. It took less than a day and the problem was fixed.

Split rail horse fence

Oct 2014

Our customer wanted a horse fence to keep her horses within her property and be pleasant looking to the eye. She wanted a simple design that would compliment her house and barn, but also wanted something that would last and hold up to the needs of her Arabian horses. We decided on a three rail split fence built out of treated lumber. We got to work building the 2000 and some odd feet of fence. First we started off by laying out the perimeter of the fence to the homeowners liking. After all the placement was agreed upon we laid out the holes and started digging. After a couple days of digging holes we started setting the first of more than 200 post. Burying more than three feet of post and adding concrete we guaranteed strength and durability to the fence. Next we started to build, using 20 ft. and 10 ft. 2x6's we staggered the breaks on the post adding the strength even more. We left room for two gates one 14 ft. and the other 8 ft. Once the rails were up we proceeded to insert 2x4's In between the rails on the post and then covered it all with 1x4's. The look and usefulness of this fence is simply gorgeous and the home owner will be happy for many years to come.
