Menking Gates

**My rating is less than poor but I was forced to choose at least one star.** Everett Menking installed a 16’ iron gate across my driveway and a 4-board fence across the front of my property. Everett told me that he gave me a 3 year warranty on the installation and maintenance of the gate. He also assurred me that the iron gate would never rust. In the last 18 months, he has had to relevel the gate 4 times because the posts he used are too small for the heavy 16’ iron gate. Each time he comes out, I have to remind him that the iron gate is rusting and he paints the rust spots but does not treat the rust. He did not put the exposed wiring to the gate opener in conduit until I insisted after the wires were cut by a weed-eater. I was charged for parts and an $89.00 trip charge. As for the wooden fence, he put the fence posts 1 foot or less in the ground, 5 fence posts have NO concrete and the posts should not be higher than 5’ tall. He installed the 4 boards too high on the posts and had to install a 5th board across the bottom to make it look right. The boards are cute uneven and the ends of the boards do not meet where he nailed them to the posts. When he split a board with a nail, he left the split board in place instead of replacing the entire board. I contacted Everett Menking in March, 2018 and I am still waiting for him to come out to repair my gate and to repair the wood fence. He has used excuse after excuse as to why he cannot come out and repair my gate and fence. As of a month ago, (05/2018) Everett has quit returning my texts, telephone calls and e-mails. I have all of the texts and e-mails to back up this review as well as pictures of the problems with the iron gate and the board fence.
