I am a Mechanical Engineer with extensive architectural Design training and over 20 years experience in the contracting/construction business. I am fully Insured with full Nachi home inspection certifications. As the owner of (FYI) For Your Investment LLC, It is not only my responsibility, but my privilege to treat your Investment as if it were my own! It takes three to four hours to complete a thorough inspection of any home. I strongly recommend that all clients are present at the time of Inspection. There is no better way to address concerns and answer questions than looking at the items or components in question together. All homes, even new homes have problems. In fact, I have yet to see a home without problems. It's up to you to decide if the home you are possibly buying is worth repairing and maintaining, or if it's better to walk away. My report will give you a good overview of the home to make that decision, and possibly power at the bargaining table. As your home Inspector, my job is not finished with your report delivery. Sometimes questions arise after the Inspection. I am there to answer questions day or night after your inspection. Home Inspections are usually performed weeks, even months prior to closing on the sale of the home. For this reason, I strongly urge you to participate in the pre closing walk through. It is your right to do so. Because you have the knowledge gained during the inspection process, you have the ability to do a mini re-inspection making sure nothing has happened to the property since the full Inspection. There is nothing worse than a ""surprise"" on the day you move in!
