Water-damaged window header replacement | May 2014 | This project started out as a small drywall water damage repair. After opening up the drywall, it was determined that the rain had been entering the wall above the window header due to improper caulking and no Tyvex house wrap. The header had to be removed and all supporting 2" x 4"s were replaced. This could only be done after the 2nd floor was supported by jack poles which required the ceiling to be opened up. | $3k | Frederick, MD
Bathroom renovation | Apr 2014 | This bathroom renovation required total demolition. Before the new bath fixtures could be installed, the wall size had to be increased from 2.5" to 3.5" (standard 2" x 4" thickness). Also, a pipe coming from the kitchen for waste had to be replaced due to a hole causing problems in the finished basement bathroom. Mosiac tile was installed in the bathtub area as an accent. | $10k | Rockville, MD
Theater Room w/Surround Sound Stereo | Mar 2014 | The owner requested to utilize an unfinished storage in the basement to add entertainment space. We created a beautiful theater room with 7 speakers and a hidden wiring/control closet and bar. French doors were added to the entry of the room creating an elegant and grand opening. Recessed lighting with dimmers set the mood for watching a romantic movie. | $15k | Frederick, MD
Full Basement Renovation | Jul 2008 | Originally, the basement was unfinished. We worked with the owner and created a plan that included: kitchen, pantry, laundry, large bedroom with walk-in closet, bathroom, linen closet, large family room with pool table area (total sq. ft approx. 1600). A thermostatically-controlled natural gas fireplace provided over 20,000 BTUs of heat in the winter making the basement warm and comfortable. Recessed lighting was installed to accent the ceiling while providing plenty of light. Kitchen, laundry, bathroom and backdoor area were finished with ceramic tile. A wet bar was placed close to the pool table area to provide needed refreshments. | $50k | Frederick, MD |
