Fredericksburg Flooring Job | Dec 2014 | This project was for the installation of laminate flooring and to convert an opening from having a door to a standard walk through. This project presented a major challenge in that a portion of the floor was to extend to a recently done addition. The addition builder had not installed the sub-floor where the two floors met at the time of our install. The addition floor ran approximately a 1/4" at it's best point to 1" at its worst above the existing floor line. To overcome this discrepancy we cut back the existing sub-floor to create a gentler slope between the floors of the addition and original structure. We then fastened metal lath to the floors and poured self leveling concrete to bring the floors within acceptable standards.
