Shell Excavating Inc

My vehicle was struck by a softball sized rock on I-5 from an untarped load of rocks driven by Shell Excavation on 5/14/2021. I have reached out multiple times to the owner of Shell Excavation with no resolution. RCW 46.61.655 clearly states that all loads need to be secured and Shell Excavation dump trucks have the ability to secure all loads with automatic tarp arm, which they neglected to do so. This negligence caused many large rocks to litter the 1-5 corridor, caused unsafe freeway road conditions and caused property damage for myself. I was lucky I didn't get in an accident or injured by the large rock (even though glass did enter the inside of my cab and I was struck in the face by glass from the inside). Public safety and safety in general is not important to Shell Excavation. If you are thinking of using Shell Excavation for a project, think twice because there will be legal ramifications from their unsafe practices.
