Evergreen Construction Group

Warning!! This construction company was awful to work with. They have poor communication, poor customer service skills and a lack of enthusiasm for the project. They made many mistakes in the bathrooms that we had renovated. The way they dealt with my family and myself was shocking. We have since had to bring in another contractor to correct their mistakes. Be warned. This is not a construction company you want to get involved with.

My husband and I had an awful experience working with Evergreen Construction Group, Inc. We signed a contract with ECG for an apartment remodel and paid a $112,000 deposit (50% down). Just a month later, ECG hit us with surprise additional charges totaling $230,000, claiming that these charges were necessary for building requirements. It turned out that ECG had tacked on significant new charges for tasks like waterproofing and plumbing work that should have obviously been included in the original contract since the work included gutting and replacing everything in 3 bathrooms and a kitchen. It seemed that their initial quote is a bait-and-switch tactic, designed to lure us in before springing huge additional costs upon us. Furthermore, even though they had more than doubled the cost of their original quote, ECG would not guarantee the costs would stop there. In the end, my husband and I decided just to lose our deposit rather than continue. It was a huge financial loss for us, but we are glad we did not continue with ECG and could preserve some semblance of our sanity. In summary, my husband and I had an horrible experience with Evergreen Construction Group. If the option to rate ECG with negative stars existed, we would undoubtedly do so.

Buyer beware. The good reviews may be fake. This company rushes to get your 50% deposit and then disappears without doing the work. After demo is done you are put on hold. WARNING:: if you ask for their subcontractors business license numbers or the professional license numbers they will quit on you immediately with no notice. Especially if you ask about the flooring crew. Be sure to check your permit to find out who is listed it may not be the company actually performing the work in your home. Get a list of the subcontractors doing your work before you sign the contract and then check professional license when they show up otherwise you may not have the person you think you hired. Five months later We are struggling to complete the project. Attempts to reach the company to get a refund are not successful. This is not the company to trust with your home.

Poor work. Had them reside and put new roof on the house. Every rainstorm there are leaks into the house. I have had them back out to the house to fix the issues and nothing ever gets resolved. I have had hire a new company to fix the mistakes made by Evergreen Construction Group. I do not recommend using Evergreen Construction Group for any of your home improvement.
