Deming Enterprises Inc

I had thought Deming Carpet and Tile Company was a reputable, stand up kind of Company....but that was until they damaged my floors, denied responsibility, threatened me and verbally assaulted me. Eric, and his father, Bernie had performed several jobs for me in the past and I was happy with them. I even recommended them. However, a few weeks ago Eric and a young man that works with him were in my home cleaning the tile floors and carpet. After they left, we came home to find the bamboo flooring in our dining and living room had surface bubbles on the top where water had spilled and the boards were completely warped and bowed. When I contacted Eric, he immediately denied that it was his fault. He said in 25 years he never ruined a floor. I told him just because it had never happened in 25 years didn't mean it didn't happen now. He said he would come the next day to see it; however, he changed his mind and said he would not come until Friday, July 2, 2021 because he wanted to bring someone with him. The next day Eric came with his father Bernie, both claiming to be the owner of the Company and the young man who had been on the job. Bernie and Eric immediately started yelling at me saying they didn't do the damage and it was definitely from my a/c unit. I had anticipated this due to my interaction with Eric on the phone so I had Sun Kool come out and inspect my unit since I am a Kool Club Member and they do my maintenance. They gave me a letter stating my a/c was fine and that the water had not come from my HVAC unit additionally, the only part of the unit in that room is the return. I contacted a very well-known restoration company in the area and they confirmed it was topical water intrusion that ruined my flooring. It was not from a slab leak or any other thing but topical water intrusion which then seeped down into my floor, spreading out into the rest of the rooms. When I asked Deming for the name of their insurance company, they refused to give it to me. However, before Eric and Bernie left they started hurling insults at me, asking me several times if "I had fallen out of an airplane" and then Bernie said if “If you say anything negative online about my Company “I WILL COME AFTER YOU”. Threatening customers is not the way a reputable company handles problems. It was clear they were not there to assess any damage, only to deny that they were at fault. Finally, on Friday afternoon, they provided me with a claim number and the name Auto Insurance, who contacted me later that day regarding the claim. They asked me for photos to show the water damage which I provided. They said they would contact me on Tuesday to arrange an adjuster to come out to inspect the damage. Not hearing from them, I contacted them today and they said Deming was denying any responsibility and they would not even send out an insurance adjuster. They told me to contact my own homeowner's insurance! Why should my insurance rates go up because of Deming's mistake? I urge you to reconsider using Deming's since they refuse to correct damages, insult you when you bring problems to their attention and stick you with the cost of correcting problems they have caused.
