Got a quote from Mr Acosta end of July and he gave me a pretty good quote compared to 2 other companies I had received a quote for to connect my septic tank to the main city line and do the whole work, including filling the pits. I told him I just bought the property and 2 of the tenants are moving out, so I need to get the tenants to clear out all the storage items they have from the back where the septic system is so they would be able to do the job. I told him i want to do it ideally around end of August, pending if the tenants leave and clear the storage area which would be needed to do the work anyway. Mr Acosta called me end of August saying he needs a deposit so he can get started with permit and surveys so he can start work that Wednesday (3 days later), and he was talking as if we talked a few days ago and I gave him the go ahead (which last communication with him was a month prior). I told him i'm not ready because my tenants have not left and the area has a giant storage unit that has not been cleared. He got frustrated, used many curse words and F bombs and decided to hang up on me. I tried calling back to explain the situation but he followed with a few more F bombs and told me not to call him back. Look I own a business too, if you had put it in your calendar to do the job, even though I didn't confirm anything or give a go ahead, but only got a quote and an estimated date I would want the job started, a courtesy confirmation or follow up call a week before would have been nice. Worst person to deal with, 0 on communication, 0 on explanation of work (a mister know it all), explains why he quoted so less, his service and probably quality of job would be just as low. Now I would rather pay $10,000 more to have someone else do it then someone with such bad service.
