Advanced Builders and Contractors

Advanced Builders and Contractors and their team lead a major renovation on our townhouse up in Porter Ranch, which involved the complete renovation of our outdated kitchen, two bathrooms and major structural work (multiple beams, posts and shear walls). We had met with several contractors who were clearly afraid of our project, due to the complexity... we finally found Advanced Builders and Contractors after reading their glowing reviews on Yelp! A project manager of Advanced came over and was very confident in what needed to be done, brought in an expert structural engineer and we agreed on a plan. We could tell immediately that he was very different from every other contractor we had ever worked with and found him to be very trustworthy and honest from the beginning to end of the project (which is very very rare for this industry!!!). The subcontractors (plumber, electrician, tile artist, etc...) Advanced Builders and Contractors hires are all excellent, prompt, polite and professional and all really enjoy working for them and on their projects. We got to know everyone who worked on our project and really enjoyed meeting everyone that came through. The kitchen and bathrooms came out amazing!! We are very happy with the work of Advanced Builders and Contractors and of course their team and their creative suggestions along the way! We will definitely be calling Advanced and their team when we are ready to do our next project!! Thanks!

Here's some of the reasons that make Advanced Builders and Contractors the best contractor I've ever worked with and I've done several big renovation projects. 1) Advanced Builders estimates a job, then keeps you abreast of that estimate throughout the job and delivers on budget. 2) Advanced Builders is respectful of time. If he says a task will take a week, it will take a week. If he says he's going to arrive at 9:00, he arrives at 8:50. I always felt he was aware of my timing, my deadline and my schedule. 3) Advanced Builders is a great resource for specialized contractors on a job. Even when there was a problem with one of his suggested guys, he helped mediate the communication process and everything worked out fine. 4) He brings great ideas to a project to make it significantly better than what was originally specified. In a situation where I wanted a material that he was unfamiliar with, he researched it and arrived ready to install it, armed with solid knowledge. 5) Clean! The first thing Advanced Builders did on our job was calculate how to keep the mess from impacting our daily lives. Everyday before he left, he swept and vacuumed. Let me repeat that: He cleaned up after himself everyday. And that's just a few things I can think of off the top of my head. Throughout our project with Advanced Builders and Contractors --which was massive and lasted several months--I never forgot how lucky I was to have him at the helm. I would recommend him to anyone without any reservations.

Nick from ABC made our home and kitchen renovation a pleasure. He met with us and helped pick out kitchen cabinets, countertop, backsplash, flooring, appliances, windows, sink, faucet. They also re did our stucco, since it was in bad shape, and some other odd jobs around the house. ABC estimate was written in a timely manner, it was complete, and fair. Their crews were careful to minimize dust and disruption and cleaned up the work areas every day before they left. They would give us updates every day, at least once a day. They were thorough in all aspects, the crews were like ants, one set of crews would come in and finish up and then the next set would immediately show up and start. All were courteous and efficient. The job was completed before a week early. Sam really made us feel comfortable, as he would take care of the issues that arose fairly quickly. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the quality of the work. We had shopped around for custom cabinets for quite a while, and all were priced about 30 - 50% than more than what we received from ABC.

Buying a home is stressful enough, and then on top of that you have to find the right contractor who is not going to take advantage of you. After having that horrible experience with an unlicensed contractor I quickly turn to ABC to help out and redo pretty much everything the unlicensed contractor had done. ABC completely understood our situation and give us a proposal the same day which except that the same day. It was a relief finally to find someone who would be doing quality work and be able to get us back into the home as quickly as possible, the unlicensed contractor has been working there for over 7 weeks and still had nothing to show for it. Every time I would ask for an update he would say that next week would be different because he would be able to work on my job full time. eventually I got fed up with the unlicensed contractor I contacted building and safety of Los Angeles my self, when the inspector came out he gave me a bunch of Corrections that had to be redone because pretty much everything the unlicensed contractor had done was worthless. (Right away with ABC we saw a difference the way the proposal was written line by line, they begin work within the week, everything they promised was done on time, they kept me up to date on the progress of the job and when all the inspections would be done. Since there was so much that they had to redo the project took a bit longer then I had originally anticipated but I'm happy to say that it turned out beautifully and I now have a quality home to show for it. Take my advice and do not under any circumstances hire and an unlicensed contractor for any project in your home. It is not worth the headache and stress to save a couple of bucks. This was a very good lesson for me as I will turn to Yelp from now on to find good quality licensed contractors who believe in a fair price and believe in doing quality work. Thank you Yelp .
