Johns home repairs

Hired John to remove and replace 2 sidewalk slabs and a small front porch (about the size of a sidewalk slab but 8 inches thick). I paid for the job upfront and in full. I asked John to complete it by a certain date upon which he agreed to. John repeatedly procrastinated and didn't know how to perform the job to code. I had to call the city numerous times to ask the inspector questions when he should have. The inspector failed the initial inspection and John blamed me for his poor quality of work. John then insulted me and questioned my integrity. John stated that I did not tell him everything the inspector told me. My response was, please call the city and speak to them directly. John sent a crazy ranting text pointing the finger at everybody and blaming everybody under the sun and that is the last I heard from him. He will not answer texts and phone calls. Nor will he provide info for 1099 forms. John did not complete the job and ran away with 1100 dollars. I had to pay 1700 dollars for another contractor to fix his mistakes and get it re-inspected.

Completely refinished our entire basement after the "great flood" and did an AMAZING job. It was hands down better than before the flood. Very accommodating, professional and attention to detail oriented no corners cut or problems with his work. Thanks again John
