Chase Remodeling & Concrete

This contractor seemed like a great guy initially. He was recommended to us by Home Depot. He gave us a bid on our front and back decks. He initially quoted us $18,500. He later officially went up to 21,500 and we still said ok.. We found the bid reasonable and decided to contract with him. At that point he became hard to reach and wasn't replying to our calls or emails. When he did reply, he said he didn't want to do our job because he was "afraid I'll lose my ass on this job" due to materials going up in price every 2 to 3 days. So we offered to purchase ALL of the materials up front. He agreed to that and drew up a contract which he and my husband both signed. This was on a Saturday and our bank was closed, so my husband told him he would go Monday morning (today) and get the cashier's check. When my husband called to see where he could meet with him, he backed out again. As a result of how he did "business" with us, I'm reviewing him to spare you the disappointment and wasted time.
