Mark walked off our home renovation job after not giving an honest bid. He does not have any insurance and could not provide me with an insurance certificate. He apparently was not confident enough to complete the job. He left with about 1/3 of the job partially complete He originally said the job would take 2 months and after 5 weeks we were no where near complete. Mark gave us estimates for complete jobs (bathroom etc) and then wildly exceeded them by bringing in other contractors and passing the bill to us after giving us a quote that included everything. I would not recommend Mark for anything more than a minor repair or small project.

I hired Mark and his son Josh to replace the rotting siding on the back of my house with hardiplank and to replace some rotting boards on my deck. The completed job was flawless. You can’t see a seam or find a nail hole in the siding. Mark is meticulous in everything he does. I compared the job to the siding on the front of the house that I had replaced a few years ago by someone else, and, well, there is no comparison. I have to admit that before hiring Mark, I didn’t realize that there could be such a difference in workmanship. I should also mention that in the midst of the job, Mark and Josh battled thousands of carpenter ants (not to mention the wasps). It was all in a day’s work. Oh, and while they were working, water started leaking in my kitchen pantry. I panicked and was going to call a plumber. But I didn’t need to. Mark and Josh took care of everything. They squeezed up into the attic, diagnosed the problem, and fixed the leaky pipe. Disaster avoided. They even installed a cut-off valve outside of the house so I wouldn’t half to worry about trying to turn off the water at the street in case of another emergency. And they were good to my dog (very important). I will definitely call on Mark and Josh again. As a matter of fact, they are the only people I trust to call. The price was fair and the work impeccable.
