Unprofessional! We dropped off house plans for a new roof quote. I followed up about a week later and they said they were afraid to give price quotes too far in advance because of how building materials prices have been going up (we would need the roof in about 3-4 months). My husband works in construction and we are very aware of this. It’s mainly Lumber prices lately... not shingles. Since this is a new construction home we have been getting prices for everything. Have had no trouble getting at least 15-20 different prices from different areas... including another roof quote and even 3 lumber quotes! They simply will note something like “this quote is good for 30 days”. They don’t just refuse to give a quote! I’ve never heard of a company approaching a situation like this before. But I’m glad I ran into this issue early on because if this is how they approach something as simple as a price quote... how does this business approach everything else?!
