Do NOT pay them until you are given a receipt or invoice which guarantees the work! I made the mistake of paying because Mark promised repeatedly to send me an invoice. It's been over two months and I can no longer reach him via phone or email. The quality of work was also not very satisfactory. ***** We needed to lower an existing kitchen range outlet to accommodate a new range. I posted my request on Porch.com. Mark from Scott Electric was the first to call and was able to send someone out (Mario and Morgan) the same day. The work ended up taking about 5 hours instead of the estimated 30-45 minutes. It became apparent that the workers had cut a much bigger hole in the drywall behind the kitchen range than was necessary as they didn't quite know how to move the outlet. The outlet was eventually moved but orientated in the wrong direction and unable to accommodate my new range that was delivered later that evening. Mark came back the next day to fix the orientation issue. But he ended up having to stuff the kitchen range's electric cord into the cutout of the drywall. He suggested we not patch up the kitchen drywall since it's behind the range and was "unnecessary." At this point, I had paid mark already and was promised an invoice via email the first day. I asked for the invoice on the second day, and repeatedly over the next two weeks or so (via email, text, phone calls). It's over two months later now and I have not heard back from Mark at all and no invoice. I also realized that even if we wanted to patch the wall we could not because the cord has to rest inside the cutout section. But of course Mark did not mention that. I think he's embarrassed by the shoddy work and is the reason why he does not want to give me an invoice or guarantee on it. I complained to Porch.com customer service but they have not been able to help either, as it seems Mark just ignores them also. I would NOT recommend Scott Electric as the work was not satisfactory. The follow-up is non-existent. No invoice or receipt for payment despite REPEATED requests. AVOID!
