What Richard Kristen stated was not an accurate accounting of what transpired. he neglected to say that the paneling is bowed, that is incorrect. the shut off valves where the vanity was supposed to be installed failed when soldered in place. That is what he was referring to. It wasn't my fault the shut off valve wouldn't solder correctly, event he home Depot guy said it happens every once in a while. The reason the blue pex was put on the hot is because he said they were backwards, so I changed them. He also neglected to say that the previous contractor screw up almost everything. Did I charge him for the mistakes the other contractor made? No I didn't. I corrected them myself.

My Experience with Mr. Mike Morrison Home Maintenance The following is an accounting of my experience with Mr. Morrison, as a handyman. The job entailed putting paneling over the framing done by a prior contractor, as well as to put up trim, seat a toilet, connect a vanity, and shower, in the basement; I was told the job would be completed by the end of October near the start of October. I terminated his employment on December 24th. After paying him $500.00 about the end of November, for work already completed. The following is a summary of what was done: The plumbing from the prior contractor was not connected properly, and a additional $100.00 dollars was asked as this was above what was agreed upon work. The paneling which he put up in the bathroom, is bowed, and has gaps in it. The door frame to the bathroom, in the basement, which was not done properly so that the door closes it currently doesn't close. The interior of the shower enclosure was partially melted in a few spots as he did not put anything to protect the plastic while he was soldering. He had used paneling which was intended for the bathroom, in a different part of the house, which he was told to use the old paneling there, which meant that I had to purchase additional paneling. I had purchased molding to be placed over the various doorways, he placed the molding using three pieces without using any 45 degree angles. Leaving it looking like a rank amateur had done the work rather than a seasoned Handyman. The front of the shower stall enclosure did not have any paneling over it, or molding. The walls did not have any molding installed in either the bathroom, or on the partitioned wall, other than the doorways. He had never used Pec's, a form of flexible plastic pipe; before according to him, and had gone through several Sharkbites (a expensive connector of plastic pipes, even forgetting to connect and seal using a metal ring on a couple of areas so when tested water sprayed everywhere, further he connect the red pec to the cold water valve, and the blue pec to the hot water valve. It is also noted that he made excessive trips to HOME DEPOT, where I had to purchase additional materials, to replace materials, which he had damaged or ruined by his inexperience with using "Pecs". My family was finally inconvenienced when he had attempted to connect the vanity by installing Pecs, the installed cut off values caused leaking. He had to turn off the water main, and then left the job as he needed to get home to go to bed. The next morning he arrived, capped the pipes and then left for out of town family event. I requested that he take his equipment with him gave him $100.00 for severance and any out of pocket expenses he might have incurred, and informed him that the project had gone completely out of control, and that this was his last day of employment and he should not return, to which he was surprised. I would not recommend hiring Mr. Morrison. The work that he did will have to be redone as it is unacceptable, and not to a level I would expect from a seasoned handyman.
