Tom and Leijona Bugbee will not stop ripping people off. This is getting ridiculous!! We used them when they were construction collective and it took over a year to get our house back in order. They lie constantly then tom will blame it on leijona when they worker (eddie) never showed up. The workmanship was absolutely terrible. We had to gut everything they did and start over. They took our deposit, bought a boat the very same day, and we didn't hear from them for four months. Every single thing Eddie did was wrong!! EVERYTHING!!! Now they are using someone else's name, greater metropolitan renovations, but they stole the name and are scamming the poor guy that actually owns that company. Now that poor victim is in jeopardy of losing his company because of Tom and Leijona Bugbee! I have contacted the attorney General and got zero response. They absolutely must go to jail. They don't are who they rip off, they don't care about other people who work hard for their money. Please do not hire them. Someone needs to go after them with criminal charges.

Tom and Leijona Bugbee are at it again working under a new company. I wish I had known about the other companies. My project turned into a complete mess. Unlicensed and unskilled labor caused me to have to fire them after the demo and botched plumbing and shower pan. I was told if they would have tiled it the water would have went straight through to my living room. Funny because during the demo a pipe burst and I did have a ceiling flood. So they said they would repair that but given how everything else went I doubt any of it would hold up. Fighting for my deposit still. These two are scam artists, they don't own companies on purpose and when it falls a part they leave it on whoever's company they took over to "help". I do believe what they are doing is beyond a civil suit and is criminal.

Please do your research before hiring this company. They used to operate under the name Total Home Solutions. They had to dissolve that company as their unsavory business practices caught up with them, earning them an F through the BBB. Today as Rebuilding Michigan (RM) they continue to use the same practices. They sweep in to your house and make grand plans, offer up what seems like a reasonable timeline, and draw up a contract. Once you are locked in with a deposit, things deteriorate quickly. I hired them for a basement remodel that was supposed to take 4-6 weeks. The timeline was important as we needed to create the additional space by a certain date. After we had paid them a significant amount of money, we had to wait over 2 months before anyone stepped foot in our house to even start the job. We then went through several subcontractors/crews before we had to negotiate ourselves out of our contract. The reason for all of the delays is that the subcontractors are not treated fairly by the owners. They undercut the subs (all the while holding on to your cash) and constantly get in to arguments with them until they walk off the job. Once one crew leaves, it takes several days to weeks for them to find someone else. Additionally, they missed several scheduled appointments with city building inspectors, which causes further delays. My wife and I both actually had to let inspectors in a few times who just happened to be waiting on our porch when we came home at lunch. Most of the time they just left a note because they couldn't wait around forever. If you actually got RM on the phone to tell them the inspectors were there, they'd say they were on their way but wouldn't actually show up. Eight months went by and our project still wasn't close to being finished. My family took a huge financial loss. We had to finish the job ourselves with additional costs. RM does not work in the best interests of their customers. They are standoffish and dismissive after they collect enough money. They do not answer your phone calls and do not seem to care how bad of a situation they have put you in. They do not care about your home, your family, or your time. They don't care about the quality of the work. They only care about taking your money.

Rebuilding Michigan is the most unprofessional Compnay out there, Kirk, tom and Leijona are liars and crooks. We hired them to finish our 1000SF basement, work started late, crew are all handymen likely from Craigslist, are changed 4 times, Kirk doesn't pay them they leave and few days later new team will come, 6 weeks project took over 10 weeks and never finished, we fired them. dust control doesn't;t exist, Leijona was supposed to be customer service person but she never responds to our texts. all drywall was wrong, plumbing is bad, flooring is a joke, be concerned for your/your kids health from dust, be concerned for you/your kids safety from multiple crew changing coming and going with doors open. This company used to be total home solutions and they filed bankruptcy and opened rebuilding Michigan, I will not be surprised if they do the same now. Low life/fraud people that they don't care about you or your home. STAY AWAY from them!!!
