Furniture Repair & Refinishing Service - Tyler, TX
My name is Edward Cooper and I have been working with wood in some form or fashion for about 30 years. I started my journey with wood as a carpenter, but have been building furniture for about 10 years. I love working with cherry and pine the most but have worked in most domestic hardwoods as well. Education and Experience After college, I practiced carpentry full time. I have had the pleasure to work as a renovator and consultant in some beautiful homes and buildings across the country. As well, I got to examine a lot of antique furniture and millwork. This gave me a unique opportunity to see firsthand how wood moves through the years and take note of time-tested joinery techniques. I use this experience to incorporate traditional joinery that I feel will last a lifetime. As well, I have had many great woodworking teachers through the years, namely Mike Siemsen of Chisago City, Minnesota and Brent Thorgren of Rockland, Michigan. To My Customers Porch.com is a great opportunity for me and my clients and it is truly an honor to be listed as a craftsman here. As a custom furniture maker and refinisher, I can't think of a better way to connect with like-minded lovers of all things wood. I look forward to working with you and creating a piece that you and your family will enjoy for years to come.
