This is an older home that the customers wanted to make more contemporary. By cutting back a non load-bearing wall and raising the dropped ceiling in the kitchen, we were able to give the entire living area a much more open appearance. Re-configuring the cabinetry layout, as well as moving appliances, created a kitchen with more storage, more spacious working areas, and an overall better flow through the room. The customers wanted to completely transform their dated bathroom. We removed the dropped lumidome ceiling, immediately making the room look and feel larger. We walled off the oddly angled doorway in order to add room for the larger tub. The shower was also made larger. One issue we came across was a massive leak after the shower was taken out that the customer had previously been unaware of. Luckily, there was only a slight delay for the plumber to address the issue. The addition of a large double-sink vanity allowed us to remove the other smaller vanity and replace it with a large corner unit linen cabinet with pull out hampers at the bottom.
