KWC Deck Staining | Jan 2014 | This one-year old pressure treated deck was ready for its first coat of stain. The customer chose a Semi-Transparent Stain called "Cider Mill". Bray's Five-Star Image Solutions took extra precaution in covering all the surfaces that were not going to be stained. We professionally cleaned the deck and sanded down all the mill stamps and flaws that would show through the stain. We fastened the deck boards that were left undone, and removed all the furniture and decorations that were screwed to the deck. We prepped both decks on the shed and the house on day one; stained both decks on day 2; and did touch-ups and final clean-ups on day 3. The entire project took us 28 hours, including preparation, staining, and cleanup within the three-day period. The total area stained was approximately 1,450 square feet. Materials included clear construction film to cover all the landscaping, tape to hang tarps on the vinyl siding, and heavy-duty drop cloths to cover the concrete. We left the jobsite with a signed approval from our customer, and a free labor warranty on our work. This customer received a 10% Military Discount as well as a "multiple-deck" discount, for hiring us for more than one deck, thus bringing his overall total cost to below $1,350. | $1k | Jackson, MO
JBW Deck Staining | Jan 2014 | This one-year old deck was ready for its first coat of stain. The customer chose a Semi-Transparent Stain from Sherwin Williams, called "Cider Mill". We started this project by pressure cleaning the entire deck and patio, so that it was free of mold and mildew, and dirt tracked in by dogs. We sanded the entire deck so that the lumber mill stamps and other flaws did not show through the semi-transparent stain. We made sure the deck boards were properly secured with fasteners to avoid tripping hazards. We covered the entire exposed area of vinyl siding, windows, patio concrete, and doors to avoid overspray from the stain. We covered all the plastic spindles to avoid stain from getting on them. All our preparation work was done on day 1. On day 2, we stained the entire deck area, and proceeded to do the cutting-in, against the siding, and concrete patio. Day 3 consisted of touching up, cleaning the sticky residue off the vinyl siding, from taping heavy-duty tarps up; as well as clearing the jobsite of all trash and tools. The area that was stained included a little over 1500 square feet. Our customer was left satisfied, as was apparent from his further promotion of our business on our Facebook Page as well as our Google Plus Page. This customer qualified for a special discount rate due to hiring us for multiple projects, as well as for giving us a discount on the services offered through his business. With these discounts, it brought his total down to under $900. | $1k | Jackson, MO
BF Entry Door Painting | Jan 2013 | This customer hired us to paint the outside of the entry door of their home. They had picked out a deep maroon color to add life to the plain white entrance they had before. We removed the door handle and dead bolt; put drop cloths on the front steps and concrete patio; sanded the flaking paint, and rough spots; and custom hand-painted the detail on this door. We painted the dingy yellow trim a bright white to accentuate the maroon in a sharp appearance. We also gave the door jamb and door casing a fresh new bright white coat of paint. | $75 | Sikeston, MO
Commercial Curb Painting | Jan 2013 | Bray's Five-Star Image Solutions was hired to increase the safety of this curbside on this commercial building property. The old paint was peeling, and had black tire marks all over it. We barricaded off the area to be re-painted; picked up all the trash around the premises; professionally pressure-washed the entire sidewalk; and re-painted the curb with bright yellow Traffic Safety Paint from Sherwin Williams, giving these leased businesses a quality look and extra safe entry for their clientele. | $400 | Sikeston, MO |
