I hired Pickett's Painting to paint a family room addition, a small deck, and a front stoop railing. The charged me what turned out to be some $300 a hour. Besides the addition, the deck, and the railing, they also painted my deck furniture, potted herbs, garden, satellite dish, deck lights, and clothes line. They also slopped paint onto parts of the railing that were to have been left a different color. What they did not paint was the back of the downspout. In short, they made a mess for a steep price.
