Agreed to refund, then didn't pay. We agreed to cabinet work from Larson Joynes. We paid our deposit of $2,500. Then received military orders and began to sell our house so we cancelled our work with Larson Joynes. We asked for our deposit back and they agreed to refund half, $1,250. That was LAST MAY 2018. Each month I have contacted Larson Joynes and receive excuse about how another of their clients had not paid their bill so they are unable to refund our money at this time. That's back and forth has gone one for a year. Do NOT give these people your money. They used our deposit to finish their previous job so didn't actually have our money to return to us. Read for yourself. See the emails below. This review limits the amount to info i can post so I've included my most recent contact with Larson Joynes and the back and forth when this started. ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: T D Date: Wed, Mar 13, 2019 at 9:52 AM Subject: Re: Update To: Lynne Larson <llarson24@cox.net> Lynne, Please indicate a date we can expect our refund to prevent further action on our part. Thank you. T On Thu, Jan 3, 2019 at 5:18 PM Lynne Larson <llarson24@cox.net> wrote: Hello T, I continue to work on the cash flow and operating funds for the cabinet shop. The homeowners on the big job love the cabinets, assured payment upon completion, but have refused to settle their account. Their blog is filled with extremely negative comments in re- other subcontractors, city inspectors and a neighbor. The loss of that payment exacerbated a prior issue with a home remodeler. We did the kitchen cabinets, the homeowner paid the remodeler and the remodeler paid his own bills and then went out business. This was unheard of in the cabinet business. I realize these are my problems not yours, but that is the situation. We expect new jobs to begin soon and are hoping that will settle the cash flow problem. I have not forgotten you and I will keep you posted. You are having difficulties with cash flow and are expecting me to understand your situation but don't seem to understand the difficulties that I'm in. I believe we are at a point where some concession should be made on my behalf. On Fri, Aug 24, 2018, 9:04 AM T D wrote: Take out a loan and pay us. We are awaiting installation date for cabinets (big job). Homeowners have been traveling and as of last word, do not have hardware (which we have to put in before job is complete, plus the other work that these homeowners now erroneously think were part of the original plan). Not only has that grossly interfered with work schedule for weeks, as I have relayed many times, but the wood needed for our ongoing job is unavailable until September. This is just about unheard of but true—I contacted so many wood suppliers and no one has this special wood. I am doing my absolute best to keep other jobs going and increase the cash flow, but when existing jobs are halted for so long, the overhead is not halted and it is very difficult. Know that I am doing everything possible to move things along. Sincerely, Lynne Larson
