JMR Services

Previously, our stove top had cracked and needed to be replaced. We called JMR services, who came to measure the stove top. The man advised if we ordered a stove top that was 36 in by 20.5 in, then he could install it. I then pulled up HomeDepot.com online, found a stove top with those measurements, and showed the man from JMR the stove top I found online. I asked him, "If I order this, it will fit?" He said "Yes, any stove top with those measurements will fit." I then ordered the stove top I showed him. He came back on 08/24/17 to install it, but told us it did not fit. He came to this decision within 10 minutes. I asked how this could be, when I showed it to him, he approved it, and it was based off his prior measurements. He gave some sort of excuse. He then told me I owe him $65 for the service fee for his visit. I told him he made the mistake, and caused me a lot of trouble, and I am not paying him. He said he would call the cops, which he then did. He called the cops to make me pay for his visit to tell me he was wrong. All in front of my 2 year old son. I reported them to the BBB, but JMR refuses to speak to them. . So this narrative is going up anywhere I can find to post online. I would like to write a lot more about what I feel about what they did to me, but tried to stick to just facts.
