Harlows Home Repairs

We do not recommend using this handyman. Business advertises roof and siding. Was asked to come out and fix a leak coming from outside into our kitchen ceiling and a leak at the laundry ceiling. Have had this leak before (kitchen area) and explained that the fixes were temporary and we needed a permanent fix. Guaranteed us "if he could find the leak, he would fix it." Spent 2 days 8 hrs each with another worker (charges by hour) fixing roof areas he believed to be source of leak. Would not double check areas with power sprayer we offered. Told us "I see where the leak is ciming in at." Did a few other odd jobs (bath vent fan, clean out dryer vent) we asked him to do when it seemed he knew what he was doing and was confident in the repair. He walks around perimeter of home and finds other small "jobs" (remove old satellite from side of home, nail a few deck boards down) as well. We ask him to replace drywall to area repaired from leak in kitchen and laundry; and prime/prep for us to paint. Walls not smooth for paint but did not complain. 1 week later, first rain storm and kitchen and laundry area leaking again! Call to Harlow. Several voice mails back and forth. On phone owner reports he doesn't know why it's leaking, can't fix it and can't give money back "because he hardly spent anytime on that." He was yelling on phone reportinghis current medical issues and not comfortable on the roof. Refused initially to come back but did agree to shoot power washer at area and open up kitchen. Refused to look at laundry area or get on roof. He cut a 12"x12" hole in kitchen ceiling and sprayed water outside. Reported it must be siding area. Said he didnt repair that area so he did his job. Remember that we called him out to find and fix the leak coming from outside? Regardless, we lost all confidence in his services and are now starting from scratch again. Yesterdays storm left us buckets of water coming in the kitchen.

USED FROM 2001 TILL TODAY. MOST HONEST, AND HELPFUL OF ALL MY SERVICE SUPPLIERS. HE HAS DONE RENOVATION THAT ARE OVER $100,000 TO SIMPLE THINGS. JUST HOPE THIS REVIEW DOESN'T GET HIM TOO MUCH BUSINESS AND HE GETS TO BUSY FOR ME.
