The good, bad and ugly review of my experience with Alyssa Painting. The good: The owner, Troy, seemed personable and friendly. He gave my husband and me a lot of comfort in his work after detailing his over 20 years of experience. No initial down payment; simply purchasing the paint on the start date was sufficient. The bad: The work is sloppy including paint on my hardwood floors and trim, (new custom kitchen cabinets), light switches/outlets, toilets, towel holders, air fresher cans, appliances, mirrors, countertops, fans, windows and doors. I complained so much that the owner had to come back to my house twice. He pointed out some things that looked bad but not all. My husband and I were told to put blue tape on all the spots. Why would someone hire professional painters and then have to point out things to them? I was also told that by the owner that they could not fix my ceilings, my son’s room and 2 other areas because he didn't realize they needed repairing. They rushed to finish the job in 5 days. I was told it would be at least 10. I definitely got 5 days of unprofessional painting. After I submitted a similar review on a few website, the owner, contacted me and stated that he would come back to fix the issues if I deleted the reviews. I agreed. The ugly: (3 different crews later - My contract stated that Alyssa painting would prep walls, paint, fix all nail pops, holes and cracks, caulk and paint baseboards. I have over 50 nail pops, over 25 cracks (walls and ceiling), small holes, the new paint is starting to crack and peel, noticeable paint drips on the walls, bubbles and cracked paint, uneven walls, wall paint on the white baseboard, paint on my hardwood floors and trim, kitchen cabinets (new custom cabinets), light switches/outlets, toilets, towel holders, air fresher cans, appliances, countertops, shower doors, fans, light fixtures, mirrors, windows and doors. It some areas, it looked like my husband and I painted the walls not professionals. They did not prep the walls which include making sure that they are smooth but light sanding and washing the walls to remove any dust or dirt. They just started painting. You can see the hair form the paint brush and other partials on the walls. The ugliest part (out of thousands of dollars with crappy paint in my new home) Do yourself a favor....don’t use Alyssa Painting. There are so many more companies to use without the bad and the ugly parts.
