Larry Kennebeck started Performance Paving Limited in 1968. His vision was to build a successful company using his skills and fondness for his work in the asphalt trade. Like most entrepreneurs, he started with a modest means; a small building, limited machinery and a mere handful of employees. Sales would have to occur one at a time while he was out in the field managing the projects he sold. If business was to grow, a sales team and advertising budget were not a luxury he could afford. So, he adopted a simple but serious approach, to be the best. He was certain that the asphalt work he did would be the best salesman he could offer any potential customer.
