Jake is the Michelangelo of paint contractors. His work is as close to perfection as I’ve ever seen. 1) PREP: Jake has all the best tools and equipment money can buy down to the plastic backed drop cloths. He completely tapes and covers windows, shelves, furniture, light fixtures, wall sockets and switches. Of course, he removes all wall plates and organizes them in little baggies. His organizational skills are impressive. He staged his equipment & paint in an area out of the way of traffic. He caulks and spackles to make the walls look brand new and pays great attention to the existing texture. 2) INSTALLATIONS: I had six sets of wood blinds that he installed for me. Perfectly centered, he pre-drilled holes for the screws. Super attention to detail. It was after he installed the blinds that he fully enclosed the blinds and windows w/ tape and plastic. 3) PAINT: His cut-in lines were PERFECT. It looks as if the baseboard and window frames were installed after he painted. His patience during the long hours he spends is astonishing and enduring. He ended up using 3 coats of Sherman Williams to cover my neon walls. I asked for Cherry Tomato red in flat and he achieved the exact look I was going for, which was a “suede” look. Just magnificent! 4) Jake developed his own project website where he posts your project online and includes photos of your before rooms then colorizes them with your paint color choice to show you your potential end results. He is a geek and a consummate professional. He’s got all his ducks in a row and is a real pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough about this young man and did not know these hard working talents existed anymore. And the most low-keyed, patient, nicest guy you’ll ever know. He does take longer than your ordinary painter that comes in and slathers your walls with overlaps and misses but the end result is amazing and well worth the time. He is budget friendly on top of all that. I am glad he is young because I will be using him for years to come. GOOD JOB, JAKE!!!!
