Ljs family fences

Hired them to pick up and put hay from my pasture to my barn. Hard working, well-coordinated team of young men who were really a joy to be around all day. I will definitely hire them again.

Hired to stain our fence for $800 including materials agreed in writing/texts. He said he required $400 to start with balance due on completion. I paid $400 up front. After doing about half, he wanted more money claiming more stain than expected was needed. I gave him an additional $300 for stain and to pay off more of the job. He left saying he would finish the next day (Sat, Aug 4). The next day, instead of finishing, he wanted $120 more. I was confused as I had just given him $300. Against my better judgment, I gave it to him. I didn’t want to get into an argument at that point. I just wanted him to finish and never deal with him again. He took the money (a total of $820) and never returned to finish the job. After numerous unanswered calls, messages and texts, I knew we had been ripped off. In response to one of my complaints in a different venue, he suggests it was my idea not to finish due to the cost, which is a total lie. I gave him all he asked for then some. This man obviously doesn’t think twice about telling lies.
