Richard Lombardi Plumbing

This review is about the Lombardi Plumbing as it operates today (or recently). Apparently Gus (the previous owner) recently sold the business and moved to Texas. So, what Gus seems to be doing is referring calls as it comes to him (his number is the one listed for this business) to the new owner, Mike (who also seems to have a business called Jordan Plumbing), on the premise that he is "away and not in the area at the moment" but can send over his partner/worker (he refers interchangeably) Mike to do the job and can vouch for his work. I suspect that Gus is referring his "book of business" which is required as part of the sale agreement that requires certain minimum residual sales/revenue targets to be met in order for him to be paid fully for the sale of the business. So I took Gus at his word (as he did good work for me once before) to send Mike over to do some work. Well ... BIG mistake! First, not sure if Mike can speak. He just grunts. Totally unprofessional guy. His initial review of the work to be done took less than a minute and said he got it and will come back in a couple of days. Well, long story short. After a half-dozen no-shows (and no proactive communication - I had to reach out to him each time), when Mike finally did the work (which was outside) - he didn't even inform me that he was there until he "finished" the job. When I checked his work, it was not as we agreed. First, he spray painted over some of the old pieces/pipes rather than replacing all the pipes (he just replaced the two big pieces). The paint job was done so sloppily that he spray painted the wall near the pipes and areas of the generator! It looks like graffiti! He did not test the pipes for gas leaks as he claimed - the pipes were clean and dry - not a single drop or residue of bubbles. I can go on. Simply, the experience - from waiting on half dozen no-shows, spray painting of pieces that were to have been replaced, to the graffiti artwork - was a total clusterf*#@k! Gus, while he tried to get other plumbers to come to finish the job right - in the end, he did not step up to do the right thing. He left me hanging to pay for again the new guys to come over and for whatever additional work that needed done that had been already paid to his partner Mke. So, essentially - I had to pay twice for the job for someone Gus vouched for but didn't stand behind. This business is done! For your sake ... stay away. Never, never!
