When it comes to roofing (or any other type of problem that no one else can figure out), I highly recommend Barney Thomas. He has done a lot of work for me and my neighbors, is supremely honest, and understands the challenges of maintaining older homes. His prices are very reasonable, and he is also good at recommending other excellent, reliable workers in the building trades. I cannot say enough good things about him! I have never met a more responsible, intelligent, considerate, and completely trustworthy professional.
Excellent experience - since I purchased my home, I wanted to have an open kitchen, and open up the wall between my kitchen and hallway. I could not be happier with the result of the work - it was done thoroughly, my home was kept clean during the process, and it's completely changed the look of my home.
Barney Thomas is an expert craftsman. The job was perfectly handled and where design was necessary, he found excellent solutions.

Plaster repair | Jul 2013 | While moving a refrigerator down these stairs, the plaster was damaged. The loose lath was reattached and modern compounds used to repair the damage. This repair can also be done using traditional sand and lime plaster, however it takes longer to do. | East Haven, CT | ||
Shower tile repair | Oct 2012 | After 25 years the tiles around the valves on this shower were loosening from damaged greenboard. (Note: this is a substrate to avoid using for tile). A sound underlayment was installed and coated with a waterproofing membrane (brush on) and then covered with new tiles. Two walls were done to insure the corner would not leak. The new tiles matched the old pretty well--sometimes this is not possible. | Guilford, CT |
