Risher & Son Handyman Service

I live in an apartment complex and unfortunately found a few bedbugs. I called for help with cleaning and prep before exterminator came. A young woman came and worked non-stop for a number of hours and cleared and bagged my kitchen cabinets. She did what I wanted and never took a break. I thought they charged a fair price. I would call them again.

This "company" was hired for $350 to mow, edge, trim bushes, pile brush, remove leaves and general messy yard cleanup. Their service was a complete joke. The man I hired stated it was him and his wife that would come. They instead sent two people who hadn't been informed what to do. They arrived late, did not complete any of the tasks properly beyond mowing, destroyed a hose by mowing over it and ruined two plants we specifically said to keep. They left both front and back a mess by not removing any of the trimmings and clippings, stating that they "don't have a blower", then also refused to remove all the leaves that they were hired specifically to remove. They also left all the wood brush where it was rather than piling it up as hired. My girlfriend was surprised and flustered and did not press them on doing their jobs properly since they actively refused what she asked them to do. I was at work so was unable to supervise. I contacted him the next day with an explanation and pictures. He offered to come make it right and we set an appointment for 1500 the next day. He no-call, no-showed the appointment and I messaged him to cancel. 45 minutes after his appointment he sent a curt message stating he was on the way and blamed traffic. I cancelled the appointment and offered to pay for the mowing only since they did a semi-acceptable job with that part. He said he still wanted to do the work so I called him to discuss it and they did not answer...then it got interesting. His wife called me 25 minutes later, didn't introduce herself, and simply said "Yeah I missed a call" I intended to allow them to complete the work since they seemed like they wanted to make it right, but she demanded an explanation for why I hadn't called them the day before. I said I was at work until 8pm so wasn't able to. She then said "I'm gonna put you on the phone with my husband before I lay in to you". He denied agreeing to work we agreed on, stating "Why did she say she was happy if she wasn't?" He then demanded I account for why I wasn't present to supervise his crew. I said I was working and that we trusted him to be competent. My girlfriend was flustered and intimidated by the strangers who appeared to be toothless meth users that showed up without notice, refused to complete their work and damaged her property. I told him that I wanted to give them a chance to make it right, but that after the way his wife spoke to me, we were upset, not willing to continue working with him, and would not be paying for work that was not completed. He then threatened to "Hit me over the head and get me with $700 in small claims court" This is after his wife said she would "Tear in to me" I don't know if this is southern slang for violence or what but I will definitely feel threatened physically. These people are unprofessional and incompetent at best and they are scamming, lying druggies at worst. I'm not sure which, but I am going to file a police report for the threats and wait for the small claims summons that I'm sure the courts will take super seriously

Very unprofessional. Only worked a few hours every few days. When he did work his whole family came and smoked by the front door. They left their trash (cups even dirty socks) thrown all around. Job looked like it was done by a toddler. Parts were completely left unpainted. Like paint was just thrown on there. He refused to fix it or deduct some off price. Money was in escrow to pay in full when work was completed but seller demand half up front which we paid and was suppose to be refunded to us when bank paid. When bank paid it was hard to get seller to return the amount we put down. When he finally did he cheated us and didn’t pay all he owed us. Also tried to keep the paint that we bought and paid for. I wish I could post pictures of his crappy work on here. It’s unbelievable. All his so called painting has to be redone. It looks worse now then it did before.

My wife Linda and I hired them to build us a composite deck. They didn't use screws which is recommend in the composite boards but instead used nails. The screws are all over the place and pieces of the composite stick up due to the nails being driven in with a nail gun. We call repeatedly for over two months. They first said they would come and fix it. Then they said I would have to rebuy all the composite boards for my deck when they screwed them up in the first place. Now they just ignore my calls and wont call back. So we wasted $4,200 on a deck they messed up building in the first place just to have somebody else come and fix it. Thank you Risher and Sons handyman services. Job well done on taking our money and not giving me and my wife the deck we wanted. And thank you for ignoring us these last couple of months. Such a wonferful job you do to keep your customers happy. Never again will we use you guys. And i hope other people come out and let the community know what kind of people you are.
