The electrical wiring work and bus transfer connections seem to be good. The generator seems to work. But my issues are with the natural gas supply. Arc Electric / Wire Guys provided a 'qualified' person to do the connections for the gas supply. Neither the gas person or Arc Electric did their homework to see if my gas supply was adequate for running both my furnace and the new generator. Neither of them contacted UGI for this information. I made the assumption that since they are all professionals that this would have been done prior to the generator installation. It was not. I was also told on the day of installation that I had to pay for the entire job before the generator installation could begin. Since I already paid a $1000 down payment to get the job scheduled and generator ordered. I agreed. Foolish me. The post installation testing and subsequent contact with UGI has shown my gas meter does not have enough capacity to supply both my furnace and the generator simultaneously. UGI has said they can upgrade my meter to supply the increased demand but I don't know if it will cost me more money. So much for no hidden out of pocket costs as declared on the Arc Electric quote sheet. I may also have to pay for additonal gas regulators if the new gas meter pressure exceeds the furnace and generator input pressure limit. This is a safety issue if not addressed. I have not heard one word from Arc Electric about what I am presently having to go through with this issue. There were more issues in dealing with this generator installation but the gas supply issue is by far the worst. My advice, shop around elsewhere for a generator installation. If you use natural gas, ensure in writing that your supply is adequate before they install it. And don't pay all the money for the job until completely satisfied. Based on my experience, I would advise against using Arc Electric / Wire Guys for a home generator installation.

These guys are great!!! Zack and Barry arrived on time and hardly slowed all day. I watched them work and they are a well oiled machine. They answered my questions and were a pleasure have around. They did great work. A couple of time I told them to go ahead and leave the mess that I would clean up, but they insisted. The place was cleaner than when they started. They also are fussy in a good way. The fiddled and fussed with some of the conduit and connections until it was just right. Very professional job. I can't wait to have them back for other work in the future.

Hi....I just wanted to tell you that my husband Bill and I could not be happier with the service we have received from your company and electricians Tony & Kyle. They were here today installing our new whole-house generator, and they did a PERFECT job. They arrived promptly, and worked hard all day. They were professional, knowledgeable, and just delightful personally. They explained everything so thoroughly and checked and double checked to be sure everything was functioning perfectly. They left everything spotless and neat (and they were even nice to our silly little dog Fiona, who followed them around convinced they had come only to admire her). I have severely impaired vision from diabetes and am on a kidney transplant waiting list, anticipating he possibility of home dialysis set-up. This generator and the ease of its automatic testing and operation has given us such a wonderful feeling of security, and for this too, we are grateful to your company. We were also very happy with your rep who visited us a few weeks ago to make recommendations and give us an estimate. (unfortunately, I don't have his name, but I'm sure it's in your records). He was also very knowledgeable and explained everything so clearly that we signed the contract on the spot. Prior to this, your electrician Zack wired our newly-built sunroom, and his outstanding performance is the reason we asked him to let you know we wanted an estimate on the generator. He was as professional and personable as every one of your company representatives has been. Please inform your owner (I believe Tony said her name is Elaine Judd) how proud she can be of all of you. Bill and I were both managers in our professional life (before this joyous time of retirement), so we are well aware of the challenges of attracting and retaining talented employees and establishing a corporate culture of excellence and customer service. Ms. Judd has obviously mastered this talent, and we congratulate and thank her. Be assured, we will happily recommend your company to everyone we talk to. And I will be telling the realtor who helped us find our dream home here that she should feel very comfortable about using you or recommending you to her clients.
