DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! There is not a single good review anywhere. We hired Chris Shore to do a bathroom remodel. The workmanship was really poor, with uneven tile, uneven grout that he probably didn't even seal, wobbly shower door handle, no stopper installed in tub, soft drywall not replaced as promised. Worst of all, he created major drywall damage to the ceiling below and did not even try to remedy the situation. We were crystal clear that the 1980's almond tub was to be replaced with a new white tub. Mr. Shore instead installed a 1980's bisque tub, which we cannot have a reputable contractor replace because he did not leave even a single replacement tile in case of breakage. We confirmed with Lowe's and Home Depot that they don't even sell that color, except by special order (and nearly double the cost of white) to match old fixtures, which we certainly did not want to do. By his own admission, Mr. Shore "shuts down when backed into a corner", so don't expect him to answer phone calls/texts/emails if there's a problem. A man in his 50's - and certainly a businessman of any age - should have outgrown behaving like a petulant child who's never been held accountable. All of the complaints about him mention this, as well as his dishonest business practices and shoddy workmanship. He's bounced checks to subcontractors, yet somehow was able to take a 6-week vacation while ignoring his customers. Rocky Mountain Shore Construction may already be out of business. To be fair, there are certainly some ethical and skilled subcontractors that have worked with Mr. Shore. Unfortunately, they just worked with the wrong guy. Karma is tough, Chris. Shore glad I'm not you.

That’s not even his address! That was a rental house and he scammed those poor people too. He did work as part of the rent and did such a shoddy job the owner has to put $10,000 back into the house before they can rent it again. He was finally evicted for not paying rent. It’s apparent from the comments this guy is a crook and a con artist. BEWARE!!

I worked with this company as an architect, and there were definitely some unprofessional practices. The other reviews sound familiar. Advice from an architect: 1) Never pay a contractor in advance (once a contractor is ahead of the billing, it is tempting to shutdown). 2) Insist on receipts 3) Pay for work ONLY when it's completed 4) Do not pay for Materials in advance. THIS IS THE CONTRACTOR's JOB 5) Insist on seeing mechanics liens, this ensures that the contractor is actually paying his/her subs...they can come after you, if the GC doesn't pay them. Thankfully I think Shore Contruction will be out of business, but please be aware out there.

Horrible. 4 month project turned into an 11 month project. Chris Shore doesn't show up when he promises, doesn't pay his subcontractors and the subcontractors will be coming to the homeowner for payment even though payment was made by the homeowner to the company; materials and supplies are not here for the subcontractors when they do show up; he pulled a permit in another company's name without their permission or authorization; committed identity theft by charging toll fees on a vehicle to our address; has multiple felony convictions in California (Orange County, Case Number 09HF0274, 11HF1712) and is being sued by multiple homeowners and subcontractors in Colorado. This is a company and an individual you do not want in your life for any reason and should run, not walk away from. See yelp, yellow page reviews, and other reviews, as the comments are almost all universally negative to the extreme.
