Gary was responsive and took care of removing a large tv satellite from my front yard. He was able to do the job for me and communicated everything to me from start to finish.

Gary’s Handyman Service in painting the deck splattered stain/paint on the deck painting. Complete lack of project care for the customer’s property.

Gary’s Handyman Services was hired to repaint the deck, garage door, front porch railing and install front porch lattice. On the deck painting, the railing and posts were sloppily painted with white trim. The deck white trim paint was splattered on the deck floor and in a number of locations bleeds through the brown deck floor. In addition, some of the brown deck floor paint ended up on the white trim. Touch-up was not done, and, in some spots, no new paint was applied. On the front porch, the white trim was applied sloppily and in a few spots the dripping remained on the porch floor. He did clen up some of the white porch drippings. However, he asked me via text “do you have any paint cleaner” REALLY! The front porch lattice is the worst. In some sections the nailing was inadequate for securing the sections. In other sections some of the lattice was propped up and just standing in place. In other places the nailing was already coming away from the 2”X4” framing. Further two of the 2”X4” frame boards were not attached to the porch posts. Finally, the measuring was atrocious. Some sections extended over top of the brick porch posts. The Garage Door was painted adequately. The final cost for this sub-par work was $1,115. I paid by check directly to this individual. With a review of the lattice work ( after the job was completed and paid ), I began exploring the website and referral service Porch.com. It was the website that referred or shared our project request with Gary Queen. In my original request through Home Advisor/Angi, I was looking to see how or why the Porch website and this poor referral came about. Well, it has been two weeks of tracking that some response has been made by Porch.com. I have sent video of this work project to Porch.com and received a reply. Their solution is for me to post this review and then contact the normal consumer advocates for further action. WHAT!!! From this Porch.com reply, it appears they take no responsibility for this service delivery. Note, the One Star was only given to move the review forward. In reality this work deserves a ZERO! In closing, Porch.com has a “guarantee” that appears to be worthless. I do not recommend Gary Queen or Porch.com. The website and Gary’s Handyman Service are a digital “Traveler Scam”. Get referrals from a friend, don’t thrust this website.
