We are a full service residential General Contracting Firm. We specialize in everything from a New Custom built home to simple bathroom remodel. Our team takes the stress away from the construction process. We have been in business since 1997 and hold all of the required licenses by the State of Massachusetts. We have a long history in the residential construction industry and can truly take a homeowner throughout the entire building process; from design to finish. How the company started: I started out working construction in at my fathers business back when I was in Jr High, High school and college. I would work weekend and summers for as far back as Junior High School. I graduated Merrimack College with a Major of Biology and a Minor in Organic Chemistry. Upon graduating I was scheduled to take a job in my respective major in the fall, while waiting to start my new position I was working construction for myself that summer. I got so busy I decided to make it a full time career. I went and tested for all required licenses getting them all on the first time. So 18 years later I'm still a General Contractor and have had a successful go at it. We have evolved into not only residential construction but commercial construction as well. I have several high profile management companies throughout Boston that use our services for their commercial needs. Let Westwood One Construction take the stress, anxiety and worries out of your next project. Contact us for your next project. "We guarantee your satisfaction"

I hired Westwood one construction in july of 2015, gave him an $18,000 deposit to build me a simple garage. I layed out the markers for the excavation and the hole was dug in the right place. He poured the footing without using any rebar which was clearly labeled in the blue prints and then added even more concrete to the footing because he layed out the footing the wrong way according to conversations with the general contractor, Westwood one. He then proceeded to put the forms on the footing to pour the foundation on top of the footing, some of the forms werent even on the footings or even close to the keyway that was etched into the footing, so I called for an inspection from the building dept and he was shut down for improper building of the footing citing building code CMR 780 8th edition 403.1.1 "Minimum size of footing ( exceeds footing thickness) and code violation 105.81 poor workmanship. I hired a structural engineer who agreed with the building inspectors report and reported that it has to come out and be redone. Westwood One refused to do this so I filed a complaint with the Dept of Public Safety and won. His License got suspended. Now he tells my lawyer that he cant do the job right for the agreed upon amount of money and he doesnt have my money anymore to refund me my $18,000 So now I have a 36x32' hole in my backyard with a footing that I have to pay someone else to remove before I continue. Over the course of a year I tried to be reasonable with him to do the job right but he has refused. I would suggest not using Westwood one Const because no one else should have to go through what I've been through this last year just trying to get a simple garage built."

Westwood One built a great deck for us in a tight space, including some built-in bench seats that provide nice privacy. Brian was extremely professional and responsive throughout the process and helped overcome some permitting delays from the state. Highly recommend!!

I hired Westwood One Construction to do a large addition on my home in Westwood. Brian and his team were excellent. Their work was high quality, they were thorough, reliable and great to work with. Brian was very capable of handling the job, which was extensive, and he was willing to work with me on changes I requested. I would highly recommend Westwood One Construction for any home improvement you are looking to make, large or small.

Brian and his crew did two projects for us as we moved into our new house. In the first, they combined two small rooms into a large bedroom. The hardwood flooring from the two rooms did not line up when the wall was taken down, so they had to tear up the flooring in one room and find new flooring to match. They did a fantastic job - there's no sign this was ever two rooms. The other job involved turning a large outdoor shed into a home office. The original shed was in disrepair, the floor wasn't level, and it wasn't insulated. They leveled the floor, put in red oak flooring, put in five crank windows to let in light and give a view of the woods, and insulated, plastered, and painted. It's all professionally done and I love my office. They really did a great job overall and we're very accommodating to minor changes in design as we went along. Recently, an existing glass vanity top imploded (put in by the prior owner) and Brian had his crew over there in short order to clear out the old top (huge mess) and helped me think about the best way to replace it. They're great guys to work with.
