Landscaping Company - White Lake, MI
Welcome... we are glad you are here! Plants & Patios grew out of Clixby Landscapes which has been doing business in the greater Oakland County area since the mid-1980s. Plants & Patios is committed to building the finest landscapes for our clients to appreciate and enjoy for years to come. We are confident and experienced in the use of horticultural plantings, brick pavers, flagstone patios, retaining walls, and garden lighting. We appreciate a wide range of plant material and take pride in the quality of our nursery stock. We are comfortable landscaping new home construction, landscape renovation projects, and separate patios or plantings to complete your yard. "A good landscape job continues to improve over time." It begins with an on-site consultation with you. Clixby can sketch structural elements such as patios & sidewalks and leave you with an approximation of the cost. On bigger projects, we work with you to plan a Landscape that can be phased in over time. Usually this entails developing a blue print.

Lakefront cottage | Jun 2013 | We worked with the basic shape of the 2-level deck. The non-conforming understructure needed leveling and additional perimeter boards installed to support the tension of the new cable railing. Treated wood deck boards were used with cedar railing, caps, and supports. We replaced two sections (10 vertical feet) of connecting stairways along with new posts and a stainless steel railing system. The horizontal cables required precision holes through the posts in order to achieve parallel and equal spacing of the stainless steel cabling. | White Lake, MI

White Lake canal | Jan 2013 | The client did a major renovation to a house on White Lake. She wanted an upper level deck with a paver patio below. What appears as a hillside, was actually a steep drop-off when we arrived. Several hundred yards of fill dirt were brought in to raise the area for the patio and the loosely laid boulder retainer. The stone steps were installed at the same time with the boulders. Plantings and sod now soften the look, and here we show the structural bones of a job as it is being built. | Oakland, MI
