Rated wind load speeds of 150 mph, even in severe wind exposures and long truss spans. When it comes to cost, speed and flexibility of design, pole building construction beats stick frame construction hands down. -------------------------------------------------------------- $9,000 - 24'x36' lofted wing barn with (3) 12'x12' gated stalls, 12'x24' loft and (1) 12'x12' tack room. (That's less than $10.50 a square foot and contains all the goodies a true barn should have.) $12,000 - 36'x48' enclosed, lofted wing barn with open floor plan. [structure posts every 12'] (That's less than $6.95 a square foot and includes a 12'x48' loft!) [Add (2) 12'x48' lean-to sheds for $4,000. That's only $16,000 ($5.56 a square foot!) for a 60'x48' barn!] **Stalls are gated with hand built, wooden (treated 2x6) gates and have earthen floors. Tack room is enclosed with treated plywood, has earthen floor and has a 4x8 door built in. Lofts are only for storage of hay and other smaller items and are open on the sides for ventilation. Loft headroom is between 4 and 5 feet. Merely a huge shelf; not a subfloor. Loft is constructed with treated 2x8 floor joists and treated 3/4" plywood decking. Breezeways are 8'x12' (8' and higher) open front to rear. You can pull a truck and trailer right through the middle! --------------------------------------------------------------- WHY WOODED POSTS CONSTRUCTION IS BETTER: Post frame construction is easier, stronger, faster, and cheaper. What more could you ask for? Here are some facts to help convince you that pole barns and other pole buildings are constructed using the best method of construction hands down. FOUNDATION SAVINGS Foundation costs usually exceed 15% of the total cost of construction for typical single story construction. Pole buildings use posts as the framing member. The strength of posts buried 2 to 5 feet deep provide excellent lateral and vertical bearing strength. Rather than pouring huge amounts of concrete accompanied by a large excavation project, the foundation for pole buildings can simply be the holes with posts supported by footers, and a dirt backfill. Optionally, a floating slab can be poured using the grade boards as forms to provide a 4"-6" slab for a garage or workshop. TRUSS SPACING Properly engineered pole barns often include wide truss spacing compared to stick built structures. With proper truss design, bracing, and connection details, trusses can span 8' and further and support heavy snow loads and wind gust conditions. The cost savings for wide span buildings that are extremely long is significant. SITE ADAPTABILITY For areas that are not flat, a conventional foundation would require earth moving and grading to level the site. Pole buildings require less site preparation than other forms of construction. Rather than waste a prime location for your new building because of excavation issues, instead build a pole building in a less desirable area since site contours are in some cases acceptable for certain pole barn uses. _______________________________________________________ 36'x24' (2 story) wing barn with full sidewalls and complete subfloor over breezeway with 4x4 access opening, and open floor plan below. $13,000 (contains structure posts within every 12') **12'x24' building over breezeway is constructed with treated 2x10 floor joists, 16"OC and 3/4" tongue and groove flooring deck board. Side walls are constructed with treated 2x6 studs, 16"OC. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- All of MiniFarm BARNS, LLC barns are built entirely with treated material throughout, have full lofts, LP SmartSide cedarboard siding, 2x6 treated studs and nailers, 1x4 treated trim on outside corners and around breezeway opening, and have 29 gauge (galvalume) metal roofs. 6"x 6" posts concreted in the ground. I saw philip’s racist comments on social media and I think that speaks volumes
Rayist p.
Philip is a racist. He believes that all black people are on food stamps. But statistics shows that majority of people who lives in a barn uses food stamps.
