Swan Masonry

WARNING: DO NOT USE. I hired Jim Swan to put pavers around my pool and to build a outdoor grill/kitchen area. He went to Virginia to get leftover pavers from a job, per Jim. He laid one side of the pool and discovered his pavers were too thick(2 inches). At that point, he told me he needed 1 inch pavers to make it work. In the meantime, he started building my grill/kitchen. I purchased a new grill from the Grill House and had it delivered so he could make sure his dimensions were accurate. In the meantime he dumps a load of sand on half of my neighbors property. My neighbor ask me nicely to remove it off of there property. I ask Jim to move it and he said he would. That was three months ago. It’s still there. He had a concrete company come pour a slab, needless to say, they broke part of my concrete driveway from turning in and cut to short. My grill WILL NOT fit in the outdoor kitchen because his dimensions are 10 inches too small. The grill was right there for him to measure. I came home to find him sitting in his truck while he had two older men in the back doing my outdoor kitchen. He took 27,000 of my money and I got nothing but a mess to clean up and having to hire another company to redo everything. He is NOT PROFESSIONAL. He is NOT dependable. I should have read these reviews before hand. He takes advantage of hard working people!!!

Jim and his crew repointed and sealed an exterior wall of my home to prevent water intrusion. They showed up and did the job on-time and on-budget. It is for these reasons that I highly recommend Swan Masonry. Thank you Jim for saving us further trouble with hurricane seasons - you have my family's gratitude.

Swan Masonry work is horrible and J Swan was personable upon first meeting then after he received the deposit which was half the cost of the job he disappeared for several weeks, not returning my or my spouses calls or email. When we finally threatened to involve the police he magically showed up with his crew of incomponent misfits that tore our house apart creating significant damage to the exterior of our house. We had hired him to build a patio space as Jim Swam bragged about how that was his specialty. My five old could have done a better job with his legos. Our spectacular patio never was completed and we had to hire another masonry company to fix his horrible work costing us addition thousands of dollars and Jim Swan has vanished with our substantial deposit leaving us to clean up his mess. There are so many HONEST reputable companies that can do better work for less money and stress!!!! Avoid this company at all costs.
