Valley Center Tile Floor

May 2015

The slab in this 1970 addition was uneven and cracked from a large root. We jackhammered out the raised parts, doweled in, and repoured. Then, with a level start, we laid ceramic tile in both the bathroom and kitchen with light grout and sealed for color and hardness. The end result is stunning. Quarter-round and baseboard will be added and the bathroom will undergo remodel and modernization.

San Marcos Bathroom Paradise

May 2015

This project was a joy to complete. We took an old, aesthetically displeasing bathroom with a stand up shower and shoddy tile work, and transformed it into a soft stone, spa-like paradise with modern fixtures and a layout better suited to the customers needs. Custom cabinetry work was done, and a short sink was installed for the customers grand children. New copper plumbing was necessary for all fixtures, and a gas line was moved. When the bathroom was originally built (as an addition) one wall was framed in crooked, so that was corrected as well. Natural stone was used to tile the floor as well as the shower, and modern fixtures were installed. We rewired the electrical for the entire bathroom for safety and convenience, and installed a dimer for the fan/light. We met some difficulties, as you do with old houses and very especially additions, but they were easily overcome, and the over-all outcome was beautiful and exactly the update the customer was looking for.

In-Law House Remodel

Mar 2015

We removed and leveled the floor in an in-law house on a large country property, and installed engineered oak flooring. The upstairs portion of this project used some glue, but mostly was nailed down. New outlets and switch plates were installed, and some rewiring was done for convenience purposes. Once the second story and the stairs were finished, the customer decided he liked it so much, we ought to do the down stairs, too! Light fixtures and door frames were also repaired as part of this project. We finished off the sleek new look with baseboard and trim, and soft green paint for a beach house feel.

Peaceful Koi Pond

Apr 2010

Our customer wanted a nice water feature to accentuate their beautiful country home. We built 6 custom pools, each with a rippling waterfall, spilling into the next. This project included framing and pouring concrete for each individual pool, masonry on the visible areas, and constructing a slatted cover. The really neat part of this construction was that we designed the cover so large pieces of hardware were not necessary in holding the large beams together. The simple, elegant design made for a beautiful finished product.

Handicap Accessible Shower Remodel

Sep 2014

A elderly couple requested a new shower that the wife could easily access with assistance. The gentleman was quite tall and had expressed his displeasure at always having to stoop when he wanted to shower, so we fixed up their knew enclosure with two sets of valves to accommodate each of their unique needs.

Valley Center Renovation

Feb 2015

This project is somewhat on-going. We've been sprucing up a grand ranch house in a gorgeous location in the hills above Valley Center, CA. Consisting largely of maintenance jobs, like replacing hard ware on all the windows and updating most of the light fixtures outside, we also installed ceiling fans, replaced some sagging dry wall, and replaced large windows in the living room. We replaced toilets, stretched carpet, updated and rerouted electrical and cable through the attic, refurbished a beautiful stained-glass door, reinforced a banister by hollowing out some f the dowels installing steel, cleaned and replaced stucco, and replaced and reinforced lumber on the facade of the home.
