Woodland Setting | May 2013 | This project was designed to create a woodland creek bed effect in an area of the back yard which had an ongoing water problem. We made a bed of river rock with some boulders scattered throughout with a back drop of evergreens. We also included some native perennials and grasses to complete the effect. In another area of the home, a new entrance was added to the basement. We created landscape beds on either side the the entrance walls using laurels to blend with native mountain laurel, juniper to eventually spill over the wall and perennial geraniums for a pop of color. | $9k | Richmond, KY
Factory Spruce Up | Jan 2013 | A more pleasing entrance was desired at this location. We installed boxwood, heavenly bamboo, blue-eyed grass, schipk laurel and dwarf nandina. We also placed 10 boulders in various locations to prevent trucks from driving into the grass and landscape areas. | $4k | Winchester, KY
CRMC | Jan 2013 | Additional landscape beds were needed to complete the appearance of the front landscaping at the hospital. We chose low maintenance boxwood and crape myrtle for the two beds at the front entrance. At the entrance to the medical office building, we installed knock-out roses and miscanthus grass. The roses will add a pop of color to the area. | $7k | Winchester, KY
New Home Landscape Installation | Jan 2013 | This project was an initial base landscape planting at a newly constructed home. The homeowner wanted as little maintenance as possible, while still achieving an old-fashioned feel. We used hydrangeas, crape myrtles, roses, azaleas, boxwood, burning bush and viburnum among others. Decorative landscape rock was installed in the planting beds to provide much lower maintenance. | $12k | Bethel, KY
Out with the old and in with the new | Jan 2013 | This project is part of an ongoing renovation of the landscaping at a stately landmark. The old landscaping was approximately 40-50 years old. We are doing one section at a time, replacing all the old Taxus with plant material that is not quite so overwhelming. We used boxwood, cherry laurel, bayberry, roses and dwarf fountain grass | $3k | Mt Sterling, KY
Employee break area | Jan 2013 | The factory had an old employee break area that was completely overrun with weeds and scrub. We cleaned everything up, tore out shrubs that were not viable, trimmed remaining shrubs to a manageable size, installed 3 paved pads for picnic tables and installed weed mat and river rock in all remaining areas. The customer had a problem with standing water for a period of time, which was corrected with drain pipe. | $6k | Means, KY |
