Doug's Revisions

Please do not use Doug's Revisions. Robert is dishonest and will hound the insurance company incessantly to get money for himself instead of covering the true costs of the required repairs. In 2014, we had a pipe break in the kitchen and he wanted us to replace 5 rooms of flooring in order to match the tile everywhere. He wanted us to commit insurance fraud and called the insurance company so much that the initial agent requested removal from our claim. He requested over $17,000 to replace what ended up being a 4' x 8' section of flooring. Before the insurance came through, I gave him $1000 to begin the project and requested receipts at least three times, which he could not provide. We allowed him to begin the repairs anyway but then we realized that he was using the incorrect sized subflooring so he was fired off the job. After speaking with the insurance agent, I realized what he was trying to do so I asked the agent to scrap everything he was requesting and we got the insurance claim down to less that $8,000 because we did not need more than that for the repairs. Fast forward three and a half years and he filed suit against me claiming he was owed more money. We went through mediation where he requested $30,000 for his pain and suffering. (Of course, this was denied.) This was the most ridiculous situation ever. He did receive some money at the final judgment in 2020; however, after it was paid, he filed another claim that he was owed interest, even though interest was specifically sited as not owed in the final judgment. This second claim was dismissed as he was owed nothing more. He files lawsuits as a means to procure money that he has not legitimately worked for and is not owed. He is unprofessional, inconsiderate, deceptive, and does substandard work.
