Unique Coastal Retreat | Dec 2012 | Clients wanted to transform their interior from a neutral, dull pallet to a bright and unique space unlike any other island getaway. We mixed rich multi-colored reclaimed furnishings with bold burnt oranges, lime greens, and turquoises. Creating accent walls throughout the space, including the dining room, living room, and master bed allowed us to pull the bright finishes throughout the space. New Construction Color Infusion | Aug 2012 | Client wanted complete interior remodel and new window treatments to bring color into their home. One challenge was the 22' ' living room ceilings that swallowed all of the furniture. By adding a bold accent wall with tall side panels to frame the arched windows, and new furniture with soft textures, we incorporated warmth into the space. Window treatments transformed the kitchen, dining room, entry, and office into finished spaces complete with colors pulled from the living room. Wood finishes were kept light to provide a subtle transition from the hardwood floors. Clients wish list was budget oriented, incorporating several antique pieces with minimal new furniture, while accommodating active family lifestyle with 2 children and pets. Client accompanied myself to the High Point Furniture Market selecting new living room pieces to accomidate the most utilized space in the home. Mountain Bungalow | May 2010 | Traditional, dark mountain house was transformed into a cozy, functional space with updated paint, fabrics and hardwood floors. Custom kitchen accent cabinets were designed out of red barn wood and wormy chestnut to create a modern mountain touch. New chandeliers and lighting were added throughout the space to enhance the ambience.
