DAY'S HOME SOLUTIONS

We entered a contract with Days Home Solutions at the end of March 2017 and are just now, in mid-November 2019, finished with the garage/apartment we hired them to build. We finished at about 20% over the promised price. We went into this project understanding that cost increases and delays happen. However, there were two major delays and cost increases that were caused by their lack of preparation. Here is what we have learned about working with the company in these two long years: 1. Great sales team, poor actual “getting things done” team. 2. Their verbal promises mean nothing. Get them to write EVERYTHING they say they will do down. 3. No problem is EVER their fault. Blame always lies with permitting, the plans you gave them, the subs they hired, etc. When things got tough, we were the ones finding ways forward and coming up with solutions. By the end, we contacted one of their subcontractors to come out and fix something so we could get final inspections down, as well as actually contacting the city for our certificate of completion. We really needed a general contractor for the scope of this project, but after our experience with this company, we would hesitate to ever hire a general contractor again.

I received a generic text message and email as soon as I was connect with them through porch. I responded back with more details and information and they never called, they never emailed, and they never texted again. I ended up talking to another Local Company who responded immediately to my request in person, H&W windows, and they walked me through removing my window and bringing it in for quick service and getting it fixed at a very reasonable price. I then, upon completion, contacted the company back and told them that I had found someone else to fix it and still never heard anything. Not a comment, not an apology, nothing.
